Job Overview

As an Area Sales Director with Flexicare, you will lead a high-performing team of territory sales representatives responsible for driving growth across acute care areas, including Anesthesia, Respiratory Therapy, the ICU, Pediatrics, and Emergency Services.

You will provide strategic leadership, coaching, and field-based support to ensure your team consistently executes at a high level and delivers strong revenue growth within your assigned region. In this leadership role, you will guide sales representatives as they call on hospitals across the area, helping them build relationships with key decision-makers such as physicians, respiratory therapists, supply chain personnel, and nursing leaders.

You will also serve as a clinical and strategic resource, ensuring the successful positioning of Flexicare's comprehensive portfolio of anesthesia and respiratory products that support improved patient outcomes and enhanced clinical efficiency.

Candidates must reside in one of the following cities: Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore/DC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development to a team of territory sales representatives, ensuring strong execution of sales strategies and achievement of regional revenue goals.
  • Hire, train, and equip sales representatives with the support, coaching, and resources needed to ensure their long-term success and strong performance in the field.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional business plan, aligning field activity with company priorities and growth metrics.
  • Conduct routine field rides, joint sales calls, and performance reviews to reinforce effective selling behaviors and identify opportunities for individual and team improvement.
  • Support representatives in building strong relationships with clinicians, department leaders, and hospital stakeholders across the region.
  • Guide and oversee product evaluations, ensuring your team provides proper setup, in-services, and ongoing clinical support to drive successful adoption.
  • Analyze pipeline activity and CRM reporting to maintain accurate forecasting, ensure accountability, and drive disciplined opportunity management.
  • Strengthen customer engagement and expand market presence by representing Flexicare at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and professional meetings.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer-first execution.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and developing sales representatives, ideally within medical devices or the hospital market.
  • A proven track record of leading teams to meet or exceed sales goals in complex hospital environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business trends, set priorities, and manage a large, multifaceted region effectively.
