Overview

State Street's Alpha Transaction Management team is seeking a skilled professional with a robust background in financial services, advanced data analysis capabilities, and deep expertise in business systems to drive the development and support of transaction management offerings. In the Alpha Client Data Integration VP position, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading client onboarding onto State Street's test and production environments, executing a wide range of tasks critical to supporting Alpha Implementation projects. This includes comprehensive management and interpretation of client data according to the defined scope of services and operating models within the Middle Office Transaction Management domain, guaranteeing all data and processes align with the established Operating Model.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As an Alpha Client Data Integration specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Onboarding clients' Middle Office services onto State Street platforms and supporting the client and all relevant workstreams throughout the implementation phase.
  • Understanding the firm's operating model, strategic plans, business, Middle Office operations processes, and architecture in order to influence design and develop solutions.
  • Articulating business requirements for strategic product enhancement, in line with the overall Alpha vision, and work with the broader team to achieve such innovations in support of Transaction Management.
  • Analyzing large, complex data sets, cleansing, and preparing for configuration/migration to Middle Office trade processing platform. Creating visualizations/dashboards to aid in analysis and presentations of complex data issues.
  • Building strong relationships with project stakeholders in Program Delivery, Operations, Technology, and Business units that focus on Transaction Management onboarding and servicing. Understanding and managing competing priorities across these groups.
  • Understanding Transaction Management standard data modeling, transaction processing, and product knowledge to facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Working directly with Transaction Management implementation leads to detail and understand trade flows for all in scope financial instruments in support of each Alpha client onboarding project.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in transaction processing and data requirements so they are fully tracked through to the delivery, testing and finally, incorporation into the standard operating model.
  • Supporting assigned projects, onboarding project plans, project timelines, issue logs, conversion approach, post-go-live efforts.
  • Ensure processes are automated wherever possible and continue to look for new transformation opportunities to increase automation and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensures all processes are fully documented from both a setup perspective and a financial services market knowledge SME perspective.
  • Works closely with other Middle Office workstreams to align the Transaction Management operating model, understand dependencies, and collaborate for end to end solutions.
What We Value

  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments and asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and structured products such as TBAs, and Repos.
  • Strong understanding of the Transaction Management Middle Office services and operating models. Subject matter expertise of standard financial services static data as it applies to Middle Office trade processing.
  • Strong understanding and prior experience with industry utilities such as DTCC CTM, DTCC Alert, FX Connect, other Middle Office vendor applications and messaging protocols such as XML and SWIFT, is highly desirable and valuable.
  • A proven history of understanding and analyzing complex client use cases, large data sets, and ability to create visual dashboards using tools such as Microsoft PowerBI. Expertise in Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, preparation, and integrations from multiple sources and formats.
  • Ability to analyze large data setup using Microsoft Co-Pilot is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret client requirements and translate those requirements into State Street specific data configuration tasks.
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. Attention to detail and organization - able to independently troubleshoot and gather supporting evidence.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize work accordingly.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 - 8 years of industry experience with Middle Office trade processing or implementation, analytics and applications
  • BS degree in Business, Finance or similar related topics - Data analysis skills are highly preferred.
  • Strong competency in PowerBI, Power Query, MS Co-Pilot or other similar data analysis tools. MS Office including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access
  • Knowledge of Electronic trading platforms including Charles River, Bloomberg, Thinkfolio and other Order Management systems.
Additional Requirements

Potential to travel to alternate sites for specific projects may be required, but fairly limited.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $181,250 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
