Academic Hospitalist - Desert Valley - Victorville, CA
Location: Desert Valley, Victorville, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Resident Teaching Responsibilities
Desert Valley in Victorville, CA, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Hospitalist Physician to join our team. This unique role combines patient care with the rewarding opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of physicians.
Opportunity Highlights
- Will be employed by Desert Valley Medical Group, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Desert Valley Hospital.
- Day Shift Hospitalist with Academic opportunity.
- Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (required).
- Will work with Internal Medicine residents - Responsible for rounding with residents and serving as core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program.
- Preferably okay doing procedures.
- Must also be okay covering some shifts as Primary Care (preferred).
- Open ICU.
- Traditional Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) + 1 weekend a month.
- The position is in Victorville, CA - around 45 minutes away from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
- Base salary starts at $275,000.00 per year.
- Semi-annual production bonus in addition to base salary.
- Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement for Full-Time.
- Open to J-1 Visa waiver sponsorship (Primary Care shifts required).

Qualifications
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Valid California medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Strong commitment to resident education and academic excellence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $275,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
