Job Overview

The Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Health and Wellbeing is a direct report to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of departments-Campus Recreation, CARE, the Disability Resource Center, the Student Health Center, and the Counseling Center-dedicated to supporting students' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Responsibilities include enhancing access, removing barriers, promoting student success, crisis response, compliance with health and accessibility regulations, and campus-wide initiatives related to prevention, wellness education, and public health.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Health Administration, Disability Services, or a closely related field.
  • At least 8 years of professional related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience supervising staff and interdisciplinary teams, managing budgets and programming.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws related to ADA/Section?504, HIPAA, FERPA, and mental health standards.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Psychology, Counseling, Higher Education or related field.
  • More than 8 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in student affairs, health and wellness services, counseling, disability services, or a related area within higher education or a comparable setting.
