Position Summary
The Department of Orthopedics at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. The role will involve patient care, education, scholarly activity, outreach, and involvement in the fellowship program. This position seeks to expand our current division of five pediatric orthopedic surgeons and three non-surgical providers serving a rapidly growing population in North Carolina. Rank and salary are dependent on experience.
The clinical practice will be primarily in Chapel Hill with possible outreach clinics statewide. Surgical cases will be performed at UNC Hospitals Children's Hospital or the Ambulatory Surgery Center, and the candidate will cover call at UNC Hospitals Main Campus for both adult and pediatric patients.
Ideal Candidate
- Orthopedic Surgeon who has completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics
- Strong interest in research and training
- Current North Carolina medical licensure, or the ability to obtain a license
- Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
This position requires an M.D. or D.O. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible and able to obtain licensure in the State of North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Interest in neuromuscular disorders, limb deformity, and general pediatric orthopedics is preferred.
