Hospitalist Nocturnist: Practice & Supervise Family Medicine Residents

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York

Employment Type: Full-time, on-site

Salary: $300,000 - $340,000 per year

Consider this opportunity to practice as a Nocturnist within our Hospitalist Program - Saratoga Hospital Medical Group - Inpatient Medicine. Our group is known as Saratoga Inpatient Physicians (SIP). In this position, work with our Family Medicine Residents. This is a perfect position for someone who enjoys teaching and mentoring.

Candidates should have a strong background in inpatient care. There are no critical care obligations with this position.

• Position: Nocturnist
• Shifts: 14 shifts per month
• Hours: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Team: Work alongside two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Unit Type: Closed ICU (no procedural duties such as intubation, central line placement, etc.). If a candidate with critical care experience wants ICU coverage, shifts may be available Sunday nights.

• Admit patients from the ER and out-of-hospital transfers.
• Respond to inpatient codes and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls.
• Supervise APPs during admissions and code responses.
• Lead Nocturnist APPs and support their clinical development.
• Supervise third-year Family Medicine residents on night rotation.
• Coordinate patient distribution for the day shift team.

Our group is comprised of 25 physicians, including six part-time physicians trained in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and 10 APPs in our practice.
