Machine Learning Engineer, Product Innovation

This role is designed for an early career machine learning engineer who wants to work directly on real products, not isolated research. You will help bring intelligent features to life by exploring modern AI techniques, experimenting quickly, and turning promising ideas into production ready capabilities that improve how teams work together.

You will join a product focused engineering environment building collaborative, AI powered software for modern teams. The product space centers on reducing coordination overhead, improving alignment, and enabling better outcomes through intelligent systems that work alongside humans. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute directly to user facing features powered by applied AI. You will take ownership of projects from initial problem framing through experimentation, prototyping, iteration, and production support. Your work will help shape how intelligent teammates augment planning, synthesis, and execution across teams.

You will spend meaningful time working with real data, learning how models behave in practice, and improving outcomes based on measurable signals. This role emphasizes practical impact over academic novelty.

• You will explore and evaluate modern machine learning models and techniques, applying them to core product challenges. You will design experiments, build prototypes, and collaborate with engineers to integrate successful approaches into production systems.
• You will work closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to translate user needs into thoughtful AI driven solutions. You will help define how success is measured and iterate based on real world feedback.
• You will stay current with emerging research and tools, sharing insights and applying what you learn to improve the product and technical stack. You will contribute to a culture of rapid experimentation, balancing scrappy exploration with disciplined iteration.
• You will learn from more senior engineers while also taking initiative to explore new ideas independently. You will bring a strong sense of ownership, pushing projects forward and unblocking yourself as you move ideas from concept to execution.

• You have at least two years of experience working in machine learning, applied AI, or data science. You are comfortable using Python and have experience with common ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, along with basic data processing workflows.
• You are excited about applying machine learning to improve real user experiences, not just building models in isolation. Exposure to large language models or generative AI systems is a plus, but curiosity and drive matter more than any single tool.
• You take ownership seriously and enjoy following projects through to completion. You are eager to grow your independence and technical depth, especially in areas such as model deployment and AI enabled systems.

The stack includes a modern full stack monorepo with TypeScript, contemporary Front End frameworks, and a Back End built on scalable APIs and relational data stores. Infrastructure is cloud native, with strong use of managed services, developer tooling, and AI assisted workflows throughout the development process.

A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is expected. The role follows a hybrid work model, with regular in person collaboration in a California based office during the middle of the week and remote work on other days.
