Position Overview
We're hiring a Software Engineer - AI Economy to build internal software and analytical tooling that powers SemiAnalysis's AI economic research. This role is not product-facing; instead, you'll develop systems that model, simulate, and analyze the economic behavior of AI workloads at scale.
Your work will directly support forecasting models used by investors, enterprises, and governments evaluating AI deployment strategies.
What You'll Do
- Build internal tools and simulations modeling AI training and inference economics.
- Engineer frameworks to analyze cost, performance, and scaling behavior across workloads.
- Integrate benchmarking data into economic models.
- Collaborate with researchers to translate technical tooling into insight-driven outputs.
- Continuously improve model fidelity and performance.
What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering background (Python preferred).
- Familiarity with ML systems, inference, or distributed computing.
- Interest in AI economics and infrastructure.
- Ability to build clean, extensible analytical systems.
- Full-time role based in the United States.
