Chief Financial Officer - Construction Supply Company

Location: Norwood, MA (Hybrid for first 6 months, then fully remote)

Salary: $140,000-$160,000 + bonus

We are a fast-growing construction supply and wholesale company with 8 locations across the region and annual revenue exceeding $24M. We're on the lookout for a hands-on CFO to take ownership of all financial operations and help scale our business efficiently. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building structure from the ground up.

• Lead the full finance and accounting function across multiple locations
• Manage month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Optimize accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes
• Supervise audits including annual, 401(k), insurance, and compliance reviews
• Develop and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A functions
• Manage inventory-heavy accounting and POS/ERP systems
• Lead, mentor, and grow a 4-person accounting team
• Partner with leadership to drive strategic business decisions

• 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
• Proven CFO, Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong leadership skills with team management and coaching experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Hands-on expertise in AR/AP, audits, collections, inventory, fixed assets, budgeting, and process improvement
• Familiarity with Epicor, Focus ERP, Paylocity, and Excel
• Experience in construction supply, wholesale, or other inventory-heavy businesses (plumbing wholesale experience a plus)
• Comfortable collaborating with operations, showroom, and leadership teams
• Base salary: $140K-$160K + annual bonus
