Academic Position-Cardiothoracic Surgery-Minimally Invasive Robotic Cardiac Surgeon
Indiana University Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery invites applications for a Full time Cardiovascular Surgeon with specialized training in Minimally Invasive Robotic cardiac surgery to join our highly skilled multidisciplinary team in the Indianapolis Metro Region. Applicants should have experience teaching residents and fellows, and a passion for caring for complex cardiovascular patients.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience performing complex coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacement, and minimally invasive robotic valve operations. They will support and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent quality systems in place for successful patient outcomes. This is a Full time faculty position; salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

Job Duties- Provide patient care in cardiovascular surgery, cardiothoracic transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
- Support and contribute to a growing collaborative academic practice, cardiovascular institute, and the mission of Indiana University Health and the School of Medicine.
- Participate in scholarly activity, resident education, and system-wide quality initiatives.
- Have an MD/DO and be board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
- Have completed a general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship or integrated residency program, with additional specialty training in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery. Preferred applicants will have at least three years of post-fellowship experience.
- Be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in Indiana.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a large dynamic health system.
- Commit to teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Have a passion for innovation and investigation in the specialty of cardiothoracic surgery.
