Professional Engineer
The Engineer will conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis for electrical equipment and/or mechanical equipment and processes through construction knowledge and engineering principles. Electrical equipment types include, but are not limited to: low, medium and high voltage switchgear, panelboards and transformers, data and communication systems, fire alarm systems, lighting systems, electrical appliances, etc. Facilities types include power generating and distribution systems, commercial and industrial facilities, municipal buildings and infrastructure assets, and residential properties.
Responsibilities- Investigate electrical/mechanical failures & system issues
- Assess damage from natural disasters & design flaws
- Review plans, codes & recommend solutions
- Deliver clear reports & manage multiple projects
- Travel occasionally for field work
- BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- Professional Engineer license (CA Preferred)
- 10+ years in electrical systems design/analysis
- Strong communication & hands-on experience
