The Opportunity

Since opening its doors in 1927, the Methodist Dallas Medical Center has been recognized for its high standards of care. The hospital houses a Level III NICU, sees about 1,900 annual deliveries, and offers a residency program. It provides private delivery rooms and private postpartum rooms with lactation support and newborn security overlooking the Dallas skyline. The center also offers childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care classes.

Dallas, the ninth-largest city in the U.S., offers family-friendly and dog-friendly activities, arts, and a skyline view, including the Dallas Arts District, Klyde Warren Park, the Perot Museum, the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, and Reunion Tower. Outdoor recreation includes White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum. The city is served by DART with easy access to DFW Airport.

OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists

OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle obstetric emergencies improves patient safety and satisfaction. This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

A Day In The Life Includes

• Caring for all pregnant women who present emergently, regardless of circumstance
• Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
• Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
• Caring for unassigned patients
• Evaluating and treating triage patients
• Providing consultation to the ED
• Monitoring labor
• Delivering babies
• Performing surgery and surgical assists
• Evaluating and treating postpartum patients
• Providing nurse support and education

Leadership Opportunities

OB Hospitalist Group Site Directors perform a dual clinical/professional role: ensuring the program achieves clinical and operational objectives and guiding the hospitalist team. As part of the OBHG leadership team, the site director reports to the Medical Director of Operations and collaborates with the MDO to deliver excellent care, build relationships, and oversee the program's financial health. Responsibilities include working five or more Hospitalist shifts each month and traveling to address hospital and operational priorities as needed.
