What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs while adhering to coding standards and performing code reviews
  • Generate ideas and implement technical solutions to achieve required product features, monitoring progress against project plans
  • Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and communicate any issues to the Scrum Master
  • Drive story creation and manage tasks in applicable software, updating status and assignments accordingly
  • Mentor associate and intermediate software engineers as needed
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  • At least 5 years of experience in one modern programming language and familiarity with two additional technologies such as React or Angular
  • Minimum of 5 years understanding of web services technologies such as REST and JSON
  • 5 years of experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • 7 years of experience working with a variety of technology systems, particularly in healthcare
  • 5 years of experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working applications
  • Familiarity with producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code
  • 1 year of experience working with Machine Learning, especially in Natural Language Understanding or related fields
