We are looking for a patent litigator with excellent judgment and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to handle the day-to-day progress of patent cases. You will be a self-starter who can quickly learn Apple's patent litigation docket and practices, identify, and manage risks and exposures, and find strategic opportunities for resolution.

As a part of our Legal group, you'll help uphold Apple's high ethical and corporate standards, as well as defend our intellectual property. You'll help provide legal support for Apple's products and businesses across the globe, applying deep legal expertise to rare and often unexplored aspects of the law. You'll work with a team to provide the critical support needed worldwide for all Apple products and businesses.

Description

As a member of Apple's IP litigation team, you will be directly engaged in formulating and driving strategy as well as providing counsel to internal clients on patent litigation matters. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a trial-focused approach. You will operate as part of a supportive and fun team of lawyers, legal specialists and support staff who work closely together to protect Apple's interests.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent litigation experience
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technology interest and aptitude
• Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
• Preference given to candidates with broad patent litigation experience, especially standard essential patent litigation and/or ITC experience
• Trial experience strongly preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $200,700 and $301,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees may participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock units and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses (tuition).
