Job Summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Academic General Anesthesiologist to join our expanding team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the department's academic, research, and teaching missions.
Position Highlights
- Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
- Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum.
- Super and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.
- Participate in departmental academic activities, such as research, quality improvement, and scholarly projects.
- Engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent).
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated interest in education, scholarship, and academic contributions.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care, teamwork, and professional development.
- Candidates with subspecialty training in cardiothoracic, obstetric, pediatric, regional, neurosurgical, or transplant anesthesia, as well as critical care, pain management, hyperbaric medicine, and perioperative medicine are welcome to apply.
