Pediatric Hospitalist in Iowa 25 minutes from the University of Iowa 4 hours from Chicago 5 hours from Minneapolis, Kansas City and St. Louis Join an established Pediatric Hospitalist team of 4 physicians Additional onsite specialist support: Experienced Neonatologists team that will take the ill babies into their care. Schedule is average of hour shifts per month; Average of 8-10 hours onsite and with home call; Weekends and Holidays on rotation Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Details: Rotating with other Pediatric Hospitalist inpatient pediatric care and Newborn Nursery No attendance to deliveries Average of 15-20 patients per day in the nursery Average of 6-8 pediatric inpatients per day Rounding Newborn Nursery: Admissions and Discharges and Circumcisions Pediatric Hospitalist: Admissions and Discharges, rounding Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
