About The Role
We're hiring a Senior Product Engineer (Full-Stack) to own complex, user-facing systems end-to-end. This is not a single-layer role - you'll work across Front End UX, Back End systems, APIs, and data models, making pragmatic trade-offs between product velocity, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You'll partner closely with the founders to design, build, and evolve core AI-powered workflows, acting as both a strong technical owner and a product thinker.
What You'll Do
- Own product features from concept and UX through Back End systems and production launch
- Design scalable Back End architectures, APIs, async pipelines, and AI inference workflows
- Lead system design with a focus on performance, reliability, and extensibility
- Design clean, scalable data models across SQL and NoSQL systems
- Build polished Front End experiences using React/Next.js
- Make and clearly communicate technical trade-offs
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and GTM
- Mentor engineers and raise the overall engineering bar
- Influence architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices
What We're Looking For Core
- Strong full-stack experience shipping production systems at scale
- Ability to independently design and ship end-to-end features
- Strong system design and data modeling skills
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (eg PostgreSQL, Redis, Firestore)
- Backend experience with Node.js and/or Python
- Frontend experience with React/Next.js
- High product intuition and comfort operating in ambiguity
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-powered or data-heavy products
- Cloud-native architecture experience (GCP, serverless, containers)
- Startup experience or ownership of large product surfaces
Tech Stack
React/Next.js
- Node.js
- TypeScript
- Python
- GCP
- Cloud Run
- Modal
- Firebase
- Redis
- Upstash
Compensation
- ~$300k total compensation (base salary, bonus, equity)
- Meaningful equity ownership
- High-autonomy, high-growth environment
Work Setup
- Bay Area preferred (hybrid allowed)
- North America remote considered
- Visa sponsorship available
What Success Looks Like In 3-6 months
- Shipped multiple features users love
- Launched at least one AI-powered user flow end-to-end
- Built tight feedback loops with founders, design, and real users
- Proactively shaping product and engineering direction
If you're excited about building magical AI experiences and owning real product impact from day one, we'd love to talk.
