Marathon Oil Corporation is an independent energy company engaged in exploration and production in the US as well as internationally and has a major leasehold position in the core of the Eagle Ford Shale formation in South Texas.

The Measurement Coordinator will be based in the Marathon Oil Kenedy, TX field office and report to the Measurement Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating gas measurement equipment, utilize SAP and TestIT to ensure gas calibration and sampling activities are completed as scheduled. Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing gas measurement systems and equipment safely and effectively. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment independently, and possess excellent organization, written, and communication skills. This position requires an employee to perform assignments in all weather conditions, work extended hours, weekends, callouts, and travel as needed.


  • Provide Measurement support for all assigned gas custody transfer points.
  • Provide gas measurement support for all assigned allocation/well test and operational gas metering.
  • Complete gas meter calibration, witnessing, and sampling activities in accordance with Marathon Oil measurement policy.
  • Document 100% of meter testing.
  • Ensure all testing is completed according to applicable standards.
  • Identify and resolve gas measurement errors.
  • Perform installation of gas metering equipment and program Marathon Oil flow computers.

Minimum Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


  • Four plus years of gas measurement experience is preferred.
  • Requires experience with Total Flow, Fisher Roc, and Emerson flow computers.
  • Working knowledge of Orifice, Ultrasonic, and Coriolis meters.
  • Knowledge of electronic calibration equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to successfully use MS Office and measurement software.
  • Commitment to Marathon's Health, Environment, and Safety culture.
