We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Azure DBA experience to support U.S. Federal and DoD modernization initiatives. This role focuses on Azure SQL, Dataverse, and Power Platform data architecture, migration, and secure integration of Legacy systems into cloud-native platforms. The position supports mission-critical institutional and operational data and requires strict adherence to federal security and compliance standards.

• Architect, engineer, and operate Azure SQL and Dataverse data solutions
• Lead data migration from Legacy SQL systems to Azure Dataverse
• Design and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse
• Optimize database performance, availability, and data models for Power Apps
• Implement secure connectivity (VNETs, private endpoints, Entra ID access controls)
• Ensure compliance with DoD 8140, NIST, STIG, and RMF requirements
• Support production operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, and cloud modernization
• Strong hands-on experience as an Azure DBA (Azure SQL focus)
• Experience supporting U.S. Federal or DoD programs
• Proven success migrating Legacy relational systems to Azure platforms

• CompTIA Security+ CE (or DoD-approved equivalent)
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a security clearance

• Microsoft Dataverse & Power Platform integration
• Azure networking, private endpoints, and secure service integration
• Federal data security, compliance, and audit readiness
